"We went to the Seminole every Saturday, but when a boy thought you were really special, he'd take you to the Tampa Theatre."

Phyllis Johnson - Seminole Heights resident 1922-1946

"Seminole Heights: An Intimate Look at the Early Years" premiered to a sold-out Tampa Theater on April 17th, 2008.  The film shows the development of the neighborhood as it flourished in the early years of the 20th Century. You will discover Seminole Height's part in the Civil War. You will hear tales of growing up during the Depression when material goods were scarce, but the abundance of backyard vegetable gardens and warm camaraderie kept bellies full and spirits high. As a finale, you will learn what you are doing for the future of our planet just by living in a historic house.
