It’s Time for OSHNA’s GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD YARD SALE
November 13th, 2010 from 7 am til ?
A map will be created with each address indicated to be distributed as a pdf on the internet and distributed the day of the event. Advertising will appear in the Tampa Tribune and the St. Pete Times and the Flyer. We do the hard work of getting people to your door so you can focus on the sale. No fussing with signs, newspapers, or anything else. Plus, we offer a free charity service to pick up any items you do not sell.
OSHNA provides this event as a service to our members and our neighborhood. Let's show off our favorite part of Tampa, have a fun afternoon, and clear out the attic!
A new city code to manage community gardens was diverted to a workshop at the request of the Seminole Heights Community Garden group and all three Seminole Heights associations. That workshop will help define the new code. As drafted, the code is highly restrictive and not very helpful. Local garden activists have described it as taking the view that these gardens are disruptive and ugly requiring heavier guidlines than the homes around them and restricting sales of excess crops on the open market. Annual permits for the gardens are in excess of $1000.
With the cooler weather (thank goodness!) hanging over the neighborhood, and the Holidays fast approaching, it is time for Old Seminole Heights to kick into full gear with an array of activities. From the Seminole Heights Sunday Morning Market to the Annual November Yard Sale to the Holiday Concert, there will be plenty of activities to keep us all buzzing. The Neighborhood Involvement needs YOU - yes, YOU - to help with many of the activities that we as a community enjoy so much. Perhaps you might even like to see another type of event in our neighbor
