2020 Home Tour Tickets

****DUE TO CORONA VIRUS THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A FUTURE DATE YET TO BE DETERMINED**** The Old Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association is proud to present our 22nd annual Home Tour on April 5, 2020.  The tour is self-guided and runs 11:30 am to 5 pm. You can choose to take the tour by private vehicle, bicycle, or ride one of our air-conditioned trolleys. Some sections of the tour are walkable. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 on the day of the tour.  On check out, you will be emailed a receipt. Please bring your receipt for tickets purchased online to the Seminole Heights Garden Center at 5800 N Central Ave on the day of the tour to receive your official wristband which allows you access to our showcase of homes. Tickets are required for children old enough to walk. All sales are final. Tour is on – rain or shine. River Tower Festival 2019

THE CAUSE A locally famous historic landmark, the Sulphur Springs Water Tower is more than an architectural feature in our urban core; it is a place that lives in the memories of generations of Tampa residents and visitors. The surrounding River Tower Park beautifies the neighborhood and has become a gathering spot for the community to engage with each other and with the natural beauty of our city. The iconic tower has not seen a significant renovation since it was painted 30 years ago. After the City of Tampa purchased the tower, they added lights to the base. In addition to restoring the tower, the park needs love, too. Our urban communities are organized to ensure that the tower and park stand vibrantly for generations to come. THE HISTORY At a stunning 214 feet, the Sulphur Springs Water Tower has been a part of Tampa’s history since 1927. Josiah Richardson commissioned the tower as part of his development of “Mave’s Arcade,” which included the Sulphur Springs Hotel, apartments, and indoor shopping. Greater Seminole Heights Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week May 6th – 10th! All of Seminole Heights would like to show our teachers and school staff just how much we appreciate them. Over the weeks leading up to May 6th, we will be purchasing supplies and making goodie bags for the school staff of these six Seminole Heights schools: Broward Elementary Cleveland Elementary Edison Elementary Foster Elementary Memorial Middle Seminole Elementary We’ve reached our donation goal to make this project a success; however, if you’d still like to donate for future events you can here: Additionally – for those interested, come out May 2, 6-9 pm to the SH United Methodist Church (6111 N Central Ave) to assist in “stuffing the bags”.
