The construction update community meeting for the Southeast Seminole Heights Flooding Relief Project had to be postponed because of Hurricane Ian. The meeting has been rescheduled for:

Each Seminole Heights neighborhood is affected by construction of this major stormwater conveyance project, so we invite you to hear an update on construction progress and challenges to-date, learn about future work, get answer to your questions and discuss concerns with the project team.

Parking for the event is in the school’s Central Avenue lot next to the stadium. Signs will direct attendees to the auditorium.

Planning for Tampa's Tomorrow Town Hall Oct. 24
|
|
The city’s Planning Department, Sustainability & Resilience Officer, and the City’s Mobility Department, along with representatives from the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission will discuss the ongoing updates to the City’s Comprehensive Plan, which will guide growth & development citywide through the year 2045.
This town hall will touch on land use, climate preparedness, energy efficiency, water conservation, transportation and other key topics that affect how prepared Tampa is for the future.
The city will be discussing and taking public input on Tampa's first-ever Climate Equity and Action Plan, while answering questions about
putting solar on your roof, weatherizing doors and windows, days getting hotter and longer, flooding and more.
Though these plans focus on Tampa’s future, the projects, policies, and other elements included in these plans will have immediate and lasting impacts on how Tampa residents get around, where new growth and development will occur, and how we prepare for climate change and natural disasters.

Litter Buster Bash Nov. 5
|
|
On the day of the event, Saturday, November 5, 2022, starting at 8:00 am, park near the Lowry Park boat ramp and look for a pop-up tent with a check-in table. Come there to sign the Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful waiver and pick up your supplies. When you're ready to pick up litter, start down the route on Sligh Avenue. All finished? Return your bags of collected garbage to the pile near the tent. Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful will collect them all at once from there. Have fun and enjoy nature. It feels good to do good!

Please join us on Sunday at Patterson St. Park for fellowship and picnicking from 1-4 p.m. Bring a side or dessert along with chairs to sit on; hot dogs, burgers and non-alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase. There will be games and raffles.
