Stormwater Project Updates

Paving of Florida Avenue will take place once the paving work on Nebraska is finished; because of the unique nature of Nebraska (with in some places 12 inches of reinforced concrete) we cannot say exactly when that will be. However, the paving work on Nebraska has started!

Take The 1! It's Free For 2025!

HART's Route 1 is now free thanks to Tampa City Council's efforts to fund it, and you're encouraged to utilize it through the rest of the year! The One can take you all the way up to Fletcher Ave. and all the way down to the (also free, for now) TECO streetcar at Whiting St.—which from there can take you to the arena, Water Street, Channelside, and Ybor City!

You might see Tampa City Council members Luis Viera or Lynn Hurtak aboard — be sure to thank them for their hard work in making this resource available to us for free.

Yes, It's Home Tour Time Again!

Interested in participating in this year's 25th Anniversary Home Tour as a host? Fire us an email at hometour@oldseminoleheights.org .

If you can't host, we desperately need volunteers to help make our Silver Jubilee the best it can be . Home Tour volunteers get an exclusive (free!) preview of the tour, a pre-party, and the ever-popular home tour T-shirt. We need help ranging from home docents to ticket sales to sponsor outreach to parking assistance. Can you step up?

History Of Your Home Training

Our annual event to train you on how to investigate the history of your home will be held February 8th from 10:15 a.m. to 12:30. If you'd like to participate, email hometour@oldseminoleheights.org .

Volunteers Needed!

OSHNA needs a new Communications Chair! Becky Gleason has been our queen of Instagram and Facebook, but is moving on to a new phase in life so the position is open! Email president@oldseminoleheights.org if you'd like to help us on the social media side.

This Month In OSHNA History

It was this month 100 years ago that the City Grammar School Basketball League launched, with Seminole Heights Elementary fifth and sixth grade teams of both boys and girls facing off against Jackson Heights. It didn't go so great for our local kids—the newspaper even flat-out saying the sixth-grade boys were terrible at defense—but we will note that the highest scoring squad of all the teams involved was our own sixth grade girls team.

Porch Party Hosts Needed!

Hosting the monthly OSHNA Porch Party is one of the easiest and most fun ways to get involved in the neighborhood. With the Neighborhood Involvement Committee volunteers handling most of the arrangements, they aren't much work, either! To sign up to host, check out the link to the form in the button below.
